The entire audiovisual archive of Ellen is very limited – but better than nothing for a token sense of presence, because no audio samples of David Chudy have been found.
A few token low quality early 50’s s silent 8mm family or travel films do exist in which Ellen, David, family and select friends are featured fleetingly.
For now some raw low quality footage is linked to below. Better digitization will be done from the original film and edited clips presented in due course. In fact the colors on the preserved analog film is amazingly good considering that it is up to 75 years old. It is vastly better than the current crude digitization’s,
There were but 3 audio tapes still extant, with samples of Ellen’s voice. They have been edited into 7 sound clips below.
Perhaps more interesting is Ellen narrating her diary early on her and David’s extensive year plus long Far East trip in 1961 and in the other is a class exercise in the form of an interview conducted by a school aged son of a friend – asking her questions about art.
